MAINTENANCE

common area maintenance - The interior of your house and any guest areas are kept spotless and organized. Sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, tidying, and cleaning are done to our impeccable standards. Light bulbs and fuses are replaced, plants are watered, small repairs assessed and completed, and garbage and recycling are processed as you normally would.

housekeeping and laundry - For those properties with Housekeeping Staff, we will supervise their work, ensure that your standards are maintained, and pay for their services as contracted. For smaller properties, we will do full cleaning of Guest rooms on Check Out, and weekly thorough cleaning of Guest rooms for those Guests staying a longer term. If a room remains empty for a time, we will dust and maintain it so that it is ready for business!

All sheets and linens are ironed, towels are dried and aired outside if possible, and curtains and tablecloths steamed periodically to eliminate creases. As necessary, duvets and featherbeds are aired and fluffed to create the coziest bed for your Guests.

grounds maintenance - Your Guests' first impression of your property is dependent on the proper maintenance of your grounds - we are happy to cut lawns, maintain garden beds and flower boxes, sweep and wash decks and sidewalks, and water plants and lawns. If your grounds are extensive, we believe you probably already have a gardener, and are happy to assist that person as required.

extraordinary maintenance - We are very familiar with the use of most tools in a Handyman's toolbox (in fact, we travel with our own!), but there are times when an expert is needed. As part of our pre-stay research, we collect from you your contacts for general repairs, hot tub and pool maintenance, roof and gutter repairs and maintenance, etc. If the repairs needed are extensive, we will use our judgment regarding costs to be incurred vs. Guest expectations, and proceed or leave the repair to be done until we receive your approval.

pet care - Fido, Fifi, Feathers, and Fins - being owned by Pets ourselves, we know that these are each important members of your Family that require love and attention, sometimes even more so when you are absent. We will consult with you on your Pets' daily routine and care, and ensure that tails are wagging, whiskers are twitching, beaks are chirping, and fins are wiggling until you return!

BUSINESS

deposits and banking - In accordance with your normal procedures, we will prepare Credit Card and Cash/Cheque Deposits and take them to the bank. If you do regular transfers during the month, we will ensure these are completed on the correct dates.

payments and purchases - As part of our pre-stay research, we will discuss methods of paying for your regularly contracted services, ie. housekeeper, gardener, pool maintenance, etc. Depending on the duration of our stay, we will establish with you a method of payment for food and supplies, usually an allowance based on the expected occupancy.

marketing program - We will ensure that your established Marketing Program continues uninterrupted, whether checking the local papers for your ads, periodically taking your brochures to the Tourism Information Centres and Chamber of Commerce offices, and checking your listings in Online Directories to ensure the links are active and the information is correct.

innsitting reports - Based on each of the categories listed above in both Maintenance and Business, we keep a Daily Log of all services performed, notable occurrences, and any items that may become maintenance issues or liabilities. These reports are compiled and reviewed with you upon your return - the valuable resource of an external viewpoint on the operations of your property.
