Taylore Darnel and her team have worked within all sectors of the Hospitality Industry, and also work together creating and managing weddings and events.
We have abundant enthusiasm and energy, enjoy challenges, and love people (and pets)! Our talent is making guests feel special and appreciated, while exercising greatly experienced common sense in decision-making and troubleshooting. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the Hospitality and Tourism Administration Technology at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Taylore worked in the Hotel and Event Planning/ Catering industries for many years. Then, after furthering her studies with the CGA Association of B.C., she "bean counted" her way up the corporate ladder before starting her own business as a Consulting Accountant. Through it all, her heart has remained in the Hospitality Industry - here is a quick career synopsis:
- 20 Years' experience in the Hospitality Industry
- In Hotels as Front Desk Clerk, Night Auditor, and Front Office Manager.
- In Restaurants and Catering as Busperson, Server, First and Second Cook, Restaurant Manager, Catering Sales, and Director of Catering.
- As a Hospitality Consultant, customizing and installing Hotel Software and training all staff, evaluating Systems and Processes by department and task, formulating and implementing strategic changes for better fiscal and procedural results.
- As a Business Owner, creating an Online Event Planning system, creating
and supervising all aspects of the planning process and execution of
fabulous Weddings and creative Events.
- 15 Years' experience in Accounting and Cost Control
- In Public Practice as a Junior and Senior Accountant.
- Employed as Controller of a Transportation Company and two independent Power/Utility Companies.
- In Private Practice with Public and Private Sector clients from home-based businesses to entities with multi-million dollar operations.
